Job summary

Chipotle is seeking a Senior Workday Analyst, People Technology (Compensation) to drive Core/Advanced Compensation initiatives and optimize our HR systems supporting a people-centric experience. You will lead complexWorkday projects with stakeholders across the company, ensuring timely, high-quality implementations in a dynamic environment.

The role requires 5-8 years of HRIS experience with a strong emphasis on Workday, system administration, and configuration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of HRIS experience with strong Workday expertise including admin/configuration.
  • Subject matter expertise in HCM, Core and Advanced Compensation; experience in Recruiting/Journeys/Learning/Paradox is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple medium to large projects from planning to post-implementation support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and offer innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead People Technology Workday projects focused on Core/Advanced Compensation from inception to completion; Total Value Matrix experience preferred.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Serve as SME and administrator for People Tech systems, ensuring data integrity and optimized configurations.
  • Provide technical leadership in requirements analysis, UAT, and system upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve functionality and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials for system changes.
  • Support production issues via case management, root-cause analysis, and escalation when needed.
  • Guide the team on best practices for system utilization and process improvements.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Senior Workday Analyst, People Technology (Compensation), you will drive initiatives within the People Technology landscape focused on Core/Advanced Compensation, ensuring our systems effectively support our people-centric objectives. Your expertise will help optimize processes and enhance the overall employee experience, making a significant impact on our organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will lead complex system enhancements, collaborating with various stakeholders, to ensure the smooth execution of projects. By leading initiatives that align technology with our department strategy, you will ensure that People Technology remains agile and responsive to evolving needs. (Hybrid work schedule requiring 2 days per week onsite in either Newport Beach, CA or Columbus, OH headquarters).

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage People Technology Workday projects focused on Core/Advanced Compensation improvements from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful implementations; Experience with Total Value Matrix strongly preferred.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and product, to analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Serve as a system administrator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for People Tech systems, driving optimization of system configurations and ensuring data integrity across all IT systems.
  • Provide technical leadership in analyzing system requirements, overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring successful execution of system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline business processes and recommend innovative solutions to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials to support system changes and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Support production issues by providing case management, root cause analysis, and resolution of system incidents, while escalating complex issues to senior leadership as needed.
  • Provide guidance to the team on best practices for system utilization and process improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5-8 years of HRIS experience, with a strong focus on Workday, including system administration and configuration expertise required.
  • Subject matter expertise in HCM, Core and Advanced Compensation and experience in at least one of the following modules: Recruiting, Journeys, Learning or Paradox preferred; experience with Paradox is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead multiple medium to large projects, from planning and execution through post-implementation support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Deep understanding of IT processes, including recruiting, benefits, compensation, and payroll, and how they integrate with people tech systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across departments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and translate technical concepts into user-friendly solutions.
PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $114,000.00--$160,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
