Job summary

Validation & Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a senior Work Package Owner (WPO) to act as the Owner's field representative for an assigned Base Work Package, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, schedule, cost, readiness, and turnover.

The WPO does not manage day-to-day construction but provides Owner oversight, coordinates interfaces among Owner, EPCM/CM, design, CQV, vendors, and contractors, and drives timely decisions to support successful execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years total construction/project experience with 4+ years client-side roles.
• 3+ years on large pharma/biotech or large industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means/methods and sequencing.
• Experience with schedule management, cost tracking, and change control.
• Knowledge of CQV concepts and turnover requirements.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication and coordination.
• Ability to escalate and drive timely decisions; onsite availability ~50 hrs/week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner's field representative for an assigned Base Work Package.
• Ensure alignment with safety, quality, schedule, cost, readiness, and turnover.
• Provide Owner oversight, monitor performance, resolve issues, and remove constraints.
• Coordinate interfaces among Owner, EPCM/CM, design, CQV, vendors, and contractors.
• Drive Owner deliverables for packages involving Owner-furnished equipment or scope.
• Support construction, startup, and turnover objectives with timely decisions.
