Job summary

Validation & Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Work Package Owner (WPO) to serve as the Owner’s field representative for base work packages.

The role ensures safety, quality, schedule, and turnover objectives are met, while coordinating across Owner, EPCM/CM, design, CQV, and contractor teams. The successful candidate will have 8+ years in construction with at least 4 years in owner-side roles, and 3+ years on large pharmaceutical projects; OSHA 30 and strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• 8+ years of total construction/project experience with at least 4 years in owner/client-side roles.
• 3+ years on large-scale pharmaceutical/regulated facility projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction means/methods, sequencing, subcontractor scopes, and trade interfaces.
• Experience with schedule management, cost tracking, and change-control processes.
• Familiarity with CQV deliverables and IQ/OQ/PQ concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Availability for full-time onsite work ~50 hours/week with limited travel.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety training.
• Authorized to work legally in the job location.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s field representative for an assigned Base Work Package.
• Ensure alignment with safety, quality, schedule, cost, readiness, and turnover objectives.
• Provide Owner oversight, monitor performance, and facilitate issue resolution.
• Coordinate interfaces among Owner, EPCM/CM, design, CQV, vendors, and contractors.
• Drive Owner deliverables for construction, startup, and turnover objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical discipline
