Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Senior WordPress/React/GraphQL Engineer in New York City. You will own the WordPress CMS, build React-based frontends, and design GraphQL APIs consumed by web and mobile clients. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and integration with video, subscriptions, and entitlement services.

You will collaborate with editorial and product teams, implement CI/CD, and apply best practices for accessibility and search optimization while maintaining production-grade standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on WordPress engineering experience, including custom plugin and theme development in PHP.
• Strong React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript experience, including component architecture and accessibility.
• Strong GraphQL experience: schema design, resolvers, caching, and API documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, blocks, post types, taxonomies, and templates.
• Build reusable accessible React components and page experiences for articles, videos, live events, hubs, and subscriptions surfaces.
• Design and evolve GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, resolvers, caching, and API contracts for web and mobile.
