Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a WOC RN Treatment Specialist to provide consultation, education, leadership, and direct patient care for ostomy, wound, and continence patients. This role collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to apply best practices and ensure quality outcomes.

Emphasis on patient-centered care and evidence-based guidelines. The position is 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two weeks) on a day shift with no weekends, requiring active WOC certifications and MN RN

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. required or equivalent.
• MN RN License required in Minnesota.
• BLS certification for Health Care Providers.
• Enrolled in an accredited WOC Nursing program within a year.
• CWCN, COCN and CCCN certifications within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation and direct patient care for ostomy and wound care patients.
• Leads wound, ostomy and continence planning and care.
• Educates patients, families and staff on ostomy, wound and skin care.
• Documents care in Epic per guidelines.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
