Job summary

Washington Trust Bank is seeking a senior WMAS risk and compliance leader to manage the fiduciary, risk, and compliance oversight framework across the enterprise. The role coordinates risk assessments, aggregates risk data, and delivers consolidated management reporting for executive leadership and the Board.

You will oversee the WMAS Compliance Officer and related analysts, ensuring effective escalation, governance, and control improvements in a complex financial environment.

Qualifications

• College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or related field and 10+ years in supervisory, risk management, compliance oversight, audit, or fiduciary governance.
• Professional designations in fiduciary risk management or related areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration and continuous improvement of the WMAS fiduciary, risk, and compliance oversight framework.
• Coordinate periodic WMAS risk assessments and document risk categories, control effectiveness, and emerging risk themes.
• Aggregate and analyze risk information from compliance testing, audits, incidents, and regulatory developments.
• Prepare consolidated risk reports, dashboards, and committee materials for WMAS leadership and boards.
