Job summary

AECOM is hiring a Technology & Security Consultant to perform wireless site surveys, iBwave design, RF data collection, and testing. You will troubleshoot RF systems and work with the wireless team on from survey to implementation.

Responsibilities include deploying systems, conducting pre-construction walks, and ensuring designs meet environmental and customer requirements. Strong MS Office skills and a valid US driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + eight years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• iBwave Level 2 or Level 3 certification.
• Valid US Driver’s license.
• Ability to climb fixed ladders up to 24 ft and work in dusty spaces.

Responsibilities

• Complete site surveys to determine coverage and building requirements.
• Design wireless systems using iBwave software based on survey information.
• Draft customer design proposals describing recommended coverage solutions.
• Conduct pre-construction walks to verify design and update as needed.
• Commission and test new systems, performing RF data collection with scanners and test equipment.
• Test fiber cable using fiber test equipment according to procedures.
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot RF systems, and provide recommendations.
• Inspect wireless systems for issues and analyze components like transmitters and antennas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of RF principles, antenna theory, and wireless tech.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
