Job summary

Samson Rose is seeking a Wireless Communications Engineer to enable communication across a fleet of robots, executing learned and user-authored deterministic behaviors. You will architect, deploy, iterate on, and maintain a hybrid, multi-layer mesh spanning LAN/MAN scales.

You will implement and tune routing in C++/Python, optimize 802.11 MAC/PHY performance, CSMA/CA, and experiment with WiFi chipsets, SDRs, or LoRa modules while delivering real-world field demos with hundreds of robots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CS/Physics/SE or equivalent
• 5+ years in wireless networking or mesh networks
• Hands-on with Linux networking protocols and tools
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for network services
• Deep understanding of 802.11 MAC/PHY, CSMA/CA, and wireless channel behavior
• Experience with WiFi chipsets, SDRs, or LoRa modules
• Eligibility to obtain and hold a Department of Defense Security Clearance
