Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Wireless Communications Algorithm Engineer to tackle real-world problems in wireless systems for the special operations and intelligence communities. You will research new technologies, develop DSP algorithms, and translate concepts into practical plans for national security applications.

This on-site role at APL's Laurel, MD campus involves solving challenging problems and delivering implementable solutions across RF modeling, waveform

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years or Master's with 3+ years in relevant fields.
  • Strong knowledge of communication theory and DSP.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Python for simulations.
  • US citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Research new technologies and develop solutions for evolving threats.
  • Support DSP algorithm development and implementation.
  • Provide technical solutions to national security challenges.
  • Translate concepts into practical, well-defined technical plans.
  • Communicate results clearly in reports and presentations.
  • Work with wireless, SATCOM, SDR, waveform design, and RF modeling domains.
