Job summary
Generac is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Engineer to lead design, development, and industrialization of harness systems for high-volume production. You will drive projects from engineering through manufacturing with direct supervision of technicians.
The role emphasizes strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with advanced manufacturing practices and quality systems. On-site work in a manufacturing setting is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology as required.
- 5 years related experience in engineering within a similar environment.
- Experience leading technicians or shop-floor teams is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and industrialization of wire harness systems for production environments.
- Own end-to-end project execution across engineering and manufacturing phases.
- Provide direct supervision to harness technicians and lab/build personnel.
- Partner with production teams to optimize line layout, tooling, and build efficiency.
- Define harness architecture and lead DFMEA/PFMEA and validation activities.
