Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions in Rosslyn, VA seeks an experienced Lead Desktop / Client Server Engineer to lead a team of system engineers and administrators, delivering provisioning, installation, and support of Windows Server and VMware infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will hold a Top Secret clearance, possess deep expertise in Active Directory, VDI, RMF/NIST, ITIL, and enterprise IT governance, and provide VIP support while driving operational excellence for a government customer.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
10+ years in Desktop/Client Server Engineering or IT infrastructure.
3+ years in a management/lead role overseeing engineers or admins.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of system engineers and administrators in day-to-day operations and projects.
Oversee provisioning, installation, configuration, and support of Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Horizon, VDI, and Active Directory domains.
Provide service support activities including incident, problem, change, configuration, release, and account management with QA oversight.
Lead incident management to restore service quickly and coordinate resources for high availability.
Drive problem management to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
Assist with data analytics initiatives, dashboards, and predictive insights for cost savings and efficiency.
Maintain enterprise architecture artifacts, governance, and RMF compliance documentation.
