Job summary

VetRamp is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Expeditionary Medical (EXMED) program. The role focuses on building secure, reliable Windows environments, STIG compliance, and scalable IT infrastructure for deployed medical operations.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong scripting, virtualization, and collaboration with engineering teams. Location is Northern Virginia with hybrid/remote options (mostly remote with onsite visits quarterly).

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5-7 years of systems engineering/administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, and Hyper-V.
• Proven experience building and sustaining applications in Windows environments.
• Experience developing secured, STIG-compliant configurations.
• Familiarity with federal IT programs (DoD or civilian agency experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Windows virtualization environments.
• Develop and maintain secured/STIG-compliant system images and repeatable configurations.
• Create and optimize Windows PowerShell scripts to automate system tasks.
• Configure and administer Hyper-V environments.
• Oversee network and connection management related to Windows systems.
• Deploy standardized Windows templates with pre-installed and configured software.
• Collaborate with engineering and program teams to align systems with EXMED's mission and security requirements.
