Job summary
Municipality of Anchorage, Information Technology Department, seeks a Systems Management Engineer to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house IT systems. The role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Windows clients, servers, and related operating systems.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma plus substantial experience or an associate/bachelor/master in CS or business, plus CJIS background check and Alaska driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Eight years of experience in the field related to the position.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline and six years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and four years of experience.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline and two years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house IT systems.
- Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all Microsoft Windows clients, servers, and operating systems.
- Manage operation and configuration of system tools for management of the Microsoft infrastructure.
