Job summary

Remote Jobs is seeking an experienced Windows Engineer to manage enterprise Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. You will automate tasks with PowerShell and support VMware/Hyper-V virtualization in high-availability environments.

You will perform server builds, patches, hardening, and migrations while troubleshooting OS, authentication, networking, and performance issues. Occasional 24x7 on-call support and documentation duties are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 environments.
• Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Strong PowerShell automation and scripting capabilities.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and high-availability configurations.
• Ability to perform server builds, upgrades, migrations, and hardening.
• Experience patching with WSUS or SCCM/MECM.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and support Windows Server environments.
• Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, OU, users, groups, and computer accounts.
• Perform server builds, upgrades, migrations, hardening, and decommissioning.
• Manage Windows patching using WSUS, MECM/SCCM, or equivalent.
• Troubleshoot OS, application, authentication, networking, performance, and system issues.
• Manage Failover Clustering, server roles, and high-availability environments.
• Support VMware/Hyper-V workloads.
• Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure with enterprise monitoring/logging platforms.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call/shift support as needed.
• Prepare technical docs, SOPs, and infrastructure reports.
