Job summary

The Federal Public Defender, Western District of Texas, invites applications for an Operating Systems Administrator to support the national Windows infrastructure from the San Antonio office. You will deploy, maintain, and secure Windows servers and endpoints, administer Active Directory and Group Policy, and serve as Tier-3 escalation for complex issues.

Responsibilities include project work, security controls, patch management, and reporting on system health.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general experience; relevant coursework may substitute part of this.
• 4 years of specialized experience; education may substitute part of this.
• Experience administering Windows Server deployments and ensuring security, health, and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Install, deploy, maintain, and support Windows client/server OS.
• Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Manage third-party applications with vendor support and document infrastructure.
• Serve as Tier-3 escalation resource for complex Windows issues across boundaries.
• Communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences with strong customer service skills.
