Job summary

Inalab Consulting Inc. is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator responsible for Windows Server administration, desktop support, and enterprise IT services for the US Geological Survey GHSC.

You will manage data center hardware, perform upgrades, and participate in planning, testing, and documentation to maintain GHSC infrastructure. The role requires experience with Active Directory, Hyper-V, and system center tools; candidate must be eligible for US government-related access.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or US Green Card required if background investigation passes.
• Experience administering Windows Server and desktop environments in enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with patch management, monitoring, and system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier-1 IT emergency responder with on-site support.
• Perform Windows Server and Windows OS administration and patching.
• Install/configure hardware and software; monitor logs and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell.
• Document system configurations and maintain baseline procedures.
• Ensure parity between development, staging, and production environments.
• Collaborate with team on technical projects and improvements.
