Job summary

Vertage Inc. in Chesterbrook, PA seeks a Senior Server Engineer to architect, manage, and support enterprise Windows Server infrastructure in a production and trading environment.

You will administer Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, design failover clusters, manage AD/DNS/DHCP, and optimize VMware vSphere, SRM, and storage. This role requires 10+ years of experience and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure environments.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2022/2019/2016/2012 and Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Registry Services.
• Experience with Microsoft Failover Clustering and Load Balancing technologies.
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and SRM.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Failover Clusters, stretch clusters, and high-availability solutions.
• Monitor server, storage, and virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and reliability; address issues proactively.
• Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Enterprise Services.
• Support and optimize VMware vSphere, vCenter, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM) environments.
• Perform system upgrades, OS patching, security remediation, and infrastructure refresh projects.
• Manage Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity processes for resilience.
• Collaborate with application support, networking, storage, and infrastructure teams to deploy enterprise solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents; provide Level 1-3 support.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, inventory records, and operational standards.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and weekend support as required.
• Ensure compliance with change, incident management, and security policies.
