Job summary

SAIC is seeking a senior packaging engineer to lead software packaging for SOE devices across classified and unclassified networks in the Washington DC area. The role requires hands-on scripting, OS deployment, and strong collaboration with application owners to publish packages via Intune, MCM, and Software Center.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with PowerShell/VBScript, Windows 11 packaging, and enterprise deployment pipelines, plus a US citizenship with active clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of related experience, or master's with 12+ years.
• Extensive hands-on experience in creating silent installations for Adobe, AutoCAD and Microsoft products.
• Extensive hands-on experience in preparing and deploying MS cumulative updates to endpoints via Intune.
• 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft MCM.
• 1-3 years packaging applications for Windows 11.
• Experience working in classified and/or unclassified government environments with greater than 10,000 endpoints.
• Experience with scripting to include PowerShell and VBScript.
• Hands-on experience scripting silent installations for COTS/GOTS.
• Experience packaging applications with various licensing models.
• Experience working in team environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Intune's Delivery Optimization, MCC, WUfB and enterprise content distribution.
• Experience developing enterprise reporting using SQL and Microsoft management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage packaging requests for baseline/non-baseline apps on SOE platforms across networks.
• Perform application packaging scripting to meet installation requirements.
• Perform Windows 11 OS deployment: WIM creation, task sequences, testing, publishing.
• Lifecycle application support including security updates and Tier 3 support.
• Support UAT, troubleshoot deployments, create deployment scripts, maintain catalog.
• Create and maintain automated application deployment packages.
