Job summary

Thomas Edwards Group is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure in a hands-on role. You will lead projects, resolve complex issues, and enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has deep Windows and Linux expertise, extensive VMware experience, and strong automation skills with Ansible, Python, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, including networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with both Windows Server and Linux.
• Significant experience managing and troubleshooting large-scale VMware environments or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Python, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, disaster recovery, and system reliability.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services, and domain services.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design through implementation and production support.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Implement automation to streamline infrastructure operations and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance, design reviews, and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Maintain infrastructure security, documentation, and operational standards.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support as needed.
