Job summary

Clutch Canada is seeking an experienced Windows Desktop Application Developer to lead the design and architecture of native Windows applications in a 100% distributed environment. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML, with a strong emphasis on accessibility. This position offers flexibility, opportunities for leadership, and a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $200,000 USD annually plus bonus and stock options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML.
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture including interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, algorithms.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring, and conducting code reviews.
• Strong communication skills with focus on user-centric designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of native Windows desktop applications.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development.
• Drive accessibility efforts integrating support for accessibility APIs.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, and QA.
• Take ownership of full lifecycle of features from conception to maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs and performance issues.
