Job summary

Clutch Canada is seeking a dedicated Windows Application Developer to lead the design and development of native desktop applications. In this role, you will enforce best practices, drive accessibility efforts, and ensure high-quality software delivery. Candidates should possess at least 3 years of experience in Windows desktop development using Windows App SDK, C#, and XAML, with a strong focus on user experience and accessibility. Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows and commitment to building inclusive software.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring others, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
• Strong communication skills, able to articulate trade-offs and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• A user-centric mindset focused on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure support for accessibility APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, and QA.
• Take ownership of the full lifecycle of features from conception to maintenance.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility problems.
