Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator to support a distributed enterprise environment and an Agile team. You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, SCCM, and Exchange, while applying security controls and ensuring reliability across VMware, VDI, and Linux guests.

This role emphasizes on-call readiness, incident remediation, and collaboration with security professionals to strengthen mission-critical IT infrastructure in a high-assurance setting.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of Windows administration experience.
• At least 7 years in information security management (governance, risk, compliance).
• At least 5 years with AD/DNS, GPOs, SCCM, Exchange administration, and Exchange Management Shell.
• Proficient in Windows Command Line and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, standards, and information security principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor test infrastructure systems, applications, and processes; track and resolve issues.
• Configure servers, routers, and firewalls; perform security management and performance optimization.
• Address Active Directory configuration, vulnerabilities, and patching; manage IAVA and system security scans.
• Deploy patches, updates, and remediation actions across sites; run monthly security scans.
• Provide user and partner support; maintain clear technical documentation and status updates.
