Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) seeks a Turbine Engineer III to support wind turbine engineering and operations. You will analyze performance data, drive reliability improvements, and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Based in the Dallas, TX area with travel up to 30% of the time, you will collaborate across departments, mentor junior staff, and deliver technical reports and root-cause analyses for wind farm assets.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• 4+ years of relevant technical experience; wind power preferred.
• Understanding of mechanical/electrical system design, operation, and maintenance.
• Ability to read plans, specs, drawings (one-line, three-line, hydraulic, wiring).
• Self-motivated, meets deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Clear communication to non-technical colleagues.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Physical work including climbing at project sites and heights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement solutions to improve plant performance and reliability.
• Analyze SCADA data and condition monitoring to resolve issues.
• Support CAPEX/OPEX planning with technical input.
• Provide on-site project management during executions.
• Create data analytic models for wind plant performance.
• Produce technical reports including root cause analyses and payback evaluations.
