Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables seeks an experienced Composite Engineering Manager to own the technical engineering function for blade inspection and repair across field operations.

You will lead Technical Advisors and Field Advisors, develop repair procedures, layup schedules, and engineering criteria, and coordinate with OEMs and asset owners. This role requires traveling to projects and working around operating wind turbines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a composites-related engineering field with extensive composites experience.
• 10+ years of composites engineering experience, incl. wind blades or heavy composites.
• Experience developing repair procedures, layup schedules, and engineered repair solutions.
• Strong knowledge of reinforcements, resins, layup, core materials, bonding, and cure control.
• Ability to read drawings, OEM manuals, and standards.
• Proven leadership directing technical personnel.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem solving.
• Able to travel to field sites and work around turbines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the composite engineering function and act as senior technical authority for blade inspection and repair.
• Develop and approve engineered repair solutions for blade components.
• Create and maintain repair procedures, layup schedules, and cure specifications.
• Define engineering thresholds, inspection gates, and documentation requirements.
• Support field teams and coordinate with OEMs/clients on technical reviews.
