Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Professional designation with a provincial biology college/association.
• 10+ years of professional biology experience, wildlife focus.
• Experience leading wildlife field surveys in remote settings.
• Experience with environmental assessments for regulated projects.
• Experience with wildlife survey methodologies and permit processes.
• Knowledge of wildlife regulations and legal acts.

Responsibilities

• Lead wildlife field surveys and habitat assessments.
• Oversee field programs during construction; provide mitigation recommendations.
• Lead scopes for environmental assessments and permit applications.
• Prepare wildlife reports supporting EA and regulatory submissions.
• Provide regulatory guidance and stakeholder communication.
• Support proposal preparation with technical scope and cost estimates.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of reports and deliverables.
• Coordinate with contractors, regulators, landowners and clients.
