Job summary

Sagemcom is seeking a Senior Principal Wi‑Fi Expert to lead architecture and performance for WLAN across next‑gen fixed wireless gateways and CPE products in our US R&D center. You will work hands‑on at the intersection of RF, embedded software, and chipset vendors to ensure world‑class Wi‑Fi from concept to field deployment.

This role requires 10+ years in Wi‑Fi subsystems, deep expertise in 802.11ax/be, and a proven track record driving technical decisions across multi‑disciplinary teams,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Wi‑Fi sub-systems experience.
• MS or PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering or Wireless Communications.
• Strong knowledge of 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6/6E) and 802.11be (Wi‑Fi 7).
• Experience with RF, embedded software, chipset vendors, certification bodies.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Wi‑Fi architecture and performance across gateways and CPE platforms.
• Provide technical leadership to firmware and software teams throughout the design cycle.
• Coordinate Wi‑Fi Alliance certification strategy and operator readiness.
• Conduct benchmarking of chipsets, RF solutions, and software stacks.
