Job summary

ERG is a research and consulting firm providing support to federal, state, and commercial clients in engineering, science, economics, public health, IT, and communications. The role collaborates with clients and ERG teams to implement Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, draft permits, manage projects, and develop training and guidance to increase efficiency and achieve implementation goals.

The qualified candidate has extensive experience with 404 regulations, NEPA, and related acts, and will

Qualifications

Degree in environmental, civil or water resources engineering, or natural sciences.
10+ years of related experience with CWA 404 regulations.
Familiarity with NEPA, Endangered Species Act, and Rivers and Harbors Act.
Experience with permitting and mitigation processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients and ERG teams to implement Section 404 requirements.
Draft 404 permits for discharges of dredged or fill material into waters of the U.S.
Manage projects including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
Develop training tools and guidance for state and federal clients.
Support regulatory development, including rule development and public comments.
Cultivate relationships with state and federal customers.
