Job summary

Dramby Environmental Consulting, Inc. (DEC) is seeking a Sr. Wetland Ecologist with 3–5+ years of wetland delineation experience in Virginia/NC for a hybrid role combining field and office work.

The successful candidate will lead delineations, collect data, prepare reports, coordinate with project managers, and support regulatory permitting and client communications. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with state and federal regulations, strong GIS and data management skills, and the ability

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years wetland delineation experience and ability to lead delineations.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal legislation and policy, esp. CWA 401/404 and associated permitting.
• Experience with field surveys, environmental inspections, and regulatory agency meetings.
• Willingness to travel occasionally; hybrid field/office role.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection, monitoring, and reporting for wetlands projects.
• Lead delineations and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with project managers, field crews, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage field operations, budgets, and QA/QC.
