Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Richmond, VA office. You will lead field efforts for wetlands delineations, habitat and stream assessments, and related ecological work with a team of environmental professionals and engineers.

Coordinate with agencies, prepare permit applications, mentor entry level staff, and contribute to environmental report writing while applying knowledge of mid-Atlantic flora and fauna.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 5–10 years of work experience in environmental field activities.
• Experience coordinating environmental permitting with agencies.
• Proficiency with ESRI products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field efforts for wetlands delineations and habitat assessments.
• Coordinate field visits with staff, clients and regulators.
• Prepare environmental permit applications and post-permit monitoring.
