Job summary

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Wetland & Environmental Scientist II to lead wetland and aquatic-resource investigations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The role combines fieldwork with technical documentation, working alongside multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll independently conduct delineations, apply the 1987 USACE Manual, collect field data with GPS/GNSS, and prepare defensible reports while advancing your natural-resources expertise in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Independently conduct wetland delineations and serve as field lead.
Apply the 1987 USACE Wetland Delineation Manual and regional supplements.
Identify vegetation, hydric soils, and wetland hydrology indicators.
Document and manage field data using GPS/GNSS and related tech.
Prepare defensible wetland delineation reports and mapping exhibits.

Responsibilities

Lead field delineations for wetlands and streams across PA, OH, WV.
Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and project teams.
Maintain QA/QC of environmental documentation.
Travel regionally for field assignments and overnight stays as needed.
Contribute to environmental permitting and regulatory coordination when applicable.
