T1 Energy is building a domestic solar supply chain with a 5GW module facility in Wilmer, Texas. We seek a Senior Wet Etch Engineer to own wet chemical processes for TOPCon cells at scale, collaborating across engineering teams to boost yield and efficiency as we bring a new high-volume fab online.

You are a hands-on wet process professional with 5+ years in solar or semiconductor manufacturing, responsible for bath chemistries, texturing quality, and metrology.

Qualifications

• Hands-on wet process engineering in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing.
• First-principles thinker focusing on mechanism behind results.
• Rigorous, data-driven with Design of Experiments and statistics.
• Collaborative across process, equipment, metrology, quality, and R&D teams.
• Energized by scaling advanced cell technology in a new fab environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and own wet processes for TOPCon cell manufacturing.
• Own bath chemistry, concentration control, temperature management, dosing, and bath life.
• Optimize texture quality, reflectance, and cleanliness to improve cell efficiency.
• Qualify inline and batch wet process tools from installation through production readiness.
• Lead root cause analysis for yield excursions using a physics-based approach.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing operations through rotations and on-call response.
• Drive next-generation wet chemistry formulations to reduce cost and improve cell performance.
