The role requires planning daily activities, coordinating staff, volunteers, and outside entertainment, maintaining calendars, and ensuring safe, engaging experiences across weekdays and weekends in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or eligible activities professional.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Must have or be able to obtain a chauffeur's license and provide transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct daily activities for residents, including evenings and weekends.
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and activities assistants in implementing programs.
• Prepare monthly calendars and ensure accessibility for all residents.
• Coordinate outings, special events, and community activities with other departments.
• Maintain records of participation and evaluate programs against resident interests.
• Assist with development and management of the Volunteer Program and budget.
