Regency Senior Living is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to design, implement and oversee wellness programs that support residents' physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. This role blends fitness, engagement, education, and collaboration with nursing, life enrichment, dietary, and rehabilitation teams to promote activity, mobility, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of senior wellness and fitness programming.
• Ability to lead exercise classes and demonstrate exercises for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead group exercise classes for older adults.
• Conduct wellness assessments to identify resident goals and needs.
• Create individualized wellness plans based on resident goals and functional abilities.
• Coordinate walking clubs, balance classes, stretching programs, strength-training activities.
• Promote fall-prevention and mobility initiatives.
• Encourage resident participation and help residents set personal health and wellness goals.
• Meet with new residents during move-in to discuss wellness opportunities and complete assessments.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and outside therapy providers to support wellness after discharge from therapy.
• Communicate resident concerns to clinical staff and participate in resident care conferences as requested.
• Provide educational presentations on healthy aging, nutrition, fall prevention, arthritis management, heart health, memory wellness, and stress reduction.
• Maintain participation records and track wellness metrics.
