Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to lead wellness, health and fitness programs for older adults across facilities, clinics, and home-based care, ensuring engaging activities and safe, evidence-based practices.

You'll design personalized 1:1 training, manage budgets and programs, supervise staff, maintain equipment, and collaborate with Therapists, Site leadership and residents to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training or related discipline.
• Preferably 3 years of documented management/program development in club wellness/school setting (senior living, health/fitness club or hospital-affiliated center).
• Certifications: ACE-CPT, NSCA-CPT/CSCS/CSPS, NASM-CPT, ACSM-CPT/EP/CEP.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements personalized 1:1 fitness training programs for older adults.
• Develops and implements health and wellness programs aligned with Powerback concepts.
• Maintains safety and equipment standards; coordinates repair and preventive maintenance.
• Recommends equipment purchases to support new programs.
• Develops programming to support residents’ needs and Powerback philosophy.
• Establishes procedures to evaluate programs by revenue, expense and satisfaction.
• Develops safety plans for wellness activities and emergencies.
• Coordinates with facility management and staff as on-site Powerback representative.
