Harford County is seeking a Wellness and Health Coordinator to support wellness and nutrition services in the community under the Wellness and Health Benefits Manager. You will help manage programs, contracts, data reporting, and project management, and liaise with county departments, state agencies, and community partners.

The role involves travel to local, regional, and statewide meetings and the possibility to represent the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Social Work, Gerontology, Health Education, Adult Recreation, Counseling, Behavioral Science, or related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in social work, senior center operations, counseling, adult recreation, educational or social services for physically or mentally impaired adults, or health and wellness programming.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently; strong interpersonal skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must possess a valid Class “C” non-commercial driver's license with no more than three (3) points.

Responsabilités

• Plan Wellness and Health Promotion programs in Senior Centers and the community in collaboration with Office on Aging staff and management.
• Manage contracts, data collection, reporting, and program initiatives funded by the Maryland Department on Aging or other entities.
• Collect and record data for quarterly reports, Area Plan, OAAPS reports, and related documentation.
• Represent the Wellness and Health Benefits Manager at local, regional, and statewide meetings when required.
• Support wellness programming in senior housing communities and coordinate marketing efforts with the Department of Community Services.
• Collaborate with community partners, vendors, and organizations to advance health and nutrition programs.
• Perform duties related to program operations and project management as assigned.
