Jaybird Senior Living in Iowa is seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator to deliver meaningful programming for residents, incorporating the Six Dimensions of Wellness across care levels.

The role supervises Assistant Life Engagement Coordinators and Memory Care staff, requires evenings and weekends, and involves scheduling, training, and coordinating events and outings to boost resident well-being and engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience working with elderly populations.
• Must obtain and maintain a chauffeur license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement resident activities aligned with Six Dimensions of Wellness.
• Complete Life Story/Six Dimensions assessments for new residents.
• Oversee and mentor Resident Engagement staff.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise outings and community events.
• Maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment; manage volunteers.
• Prepare and distribute monthly engagement calendar and newsletter.
• Manage resident store and life stations for Memory Care residents.
• Maintain records and comply with volunteers and activities regulations.
• Participate in staff training, in-services, and flexible scheduling.
• Maintain budget for the Resident Engagement department and allocate resources.
