Job summary

Scout in CONROE, TX is seeking a Senior Well Planner to provide technical expertise for directional and horizontal drilling. You will generate pre-job designs, detailed directional profiles, and post-well completion reports to support the quoting and operational planning phases.

The role involves inputting geological data to develop initial well plans, building plots for customer quotes, and creating anti-collision reports while coordinating with Technical Marketing Representatives and Field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• 4+ years experience as Directional Well Planner.
• Proficiency with Landmark Compass and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial well plans for quotes by inputting geological and drilling target data.
• Build plans and plots and forward to stakeholders for field use.
• Create anti-collision reports and monitor center-to-center distances.
• Prepare surveys and updates for clients and operations teams.
• Provide training and guidance within the Well Planning Department.
