Job summary

Landmark, a Halliburton business line, seeks a Senior Well Engineering Modeling & Simulation Technologist to develop advanced models, numerical simulations, and optimization workflows for well design and drilling. The role bridges engineering theory and software, delivering AI-enabled design and robust product capabilities.

You will collaborate across teams, handle gas-migration and well-control modeling, validate models, and contribute to continuity through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
• Minimum of four years of related experience.
• Experience applying engineering or scientific principles to development of technical models or software workflows.
• Capability in numerical modeling, engineering simulation, optimization, or AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced well-engineering models, numerical simulation methods, and optimization capabilities.
• Translate research into tested, deployable software capabilities.
• Design and evaluate automated well-design and optimization workflows, including AI-enabled methods.
• Verify and validate models and software implementations with calculations and benchmark data.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and customers to define requirements and improvements.
