Job summary

Ottenweller Company Inc. seeks an experienced welder to support welding staff, fixtures, and process development. The role involves studying blueprints, setting up fixtures, and operating welding equipment with careful control of voltage, amperage, and tool selection.

You will perform NDT and quality checks, assist with fixture fabrication, and collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and cost modeling using Solidworks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and welding experience required.
• Proven A-Level Welder with clean record and required tests.
• Experience with blueprint reading and GD&T concepts.
• Solidworks experience for cost modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist welding staff with setup, fixturing, and process execution.
• Study blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequences.
• Operate and calibrate welding equipment, and adjust settings.
• Conduct first piece and in-process weld inspections per blueprint.
• Perform NDT using ultrasonic testing and dye penetrant methods.
• Set up Bluco Tables and assist with fixture development.
• Coordinate with engineering on fixturing and tooling requirements.
• Work with maintenance on welding device repairs and safety.
