Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority across projects, writing and reviewing programs, supervising CWIs and Inspectors, and approving procedures and qualifications. AWS SCWI is preferred; a CWI with eight+ years in leadership is acceptable.

The role involves audits of fabricators, resolving disputed indications with engineers of record, and representing the company to engineers of record, owners, and building

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership.
• Strong command of welding codes and inspection standards.
• Experience writing welding quality programs and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
• Represent the company in welding quality reviews.
