Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to serve as the welding quality authority, leading CWIs and Inspectors, approving procedures and qualifications, and liaising with engineers and officials on welding matters.

The role requires AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of leadership, deep code knowledge (D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104) and the ability to drive welding quality programs across projects.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
• Ability to work with engineers, fabricators, and building officials.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and NDT methods.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors on projects.
• Review reports and calibrate inspector calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
• Represent the company in welding quality reviews.
