Job summary

LK Jordan seeks an experienced Welding Manager to oversee daily welding department operations in a heavy manufacturing environment. You will lead production teams, ensure safety and quality, and drive productivity toward established goals.

The role requires expertise in ASME pressure vessel fabrication, strong supervisory skills, and the ability to read blueprints and specs. Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position based in Corpus Christi, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in welding is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in ASME pressure vessel fabrication or construction.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication methods, and manufacturing procedures.
• Experience with glass-lined equipment, pressure vessels, or similar industrial components is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily welding department operations, workflow, and production schedules.
• Supervise welders, fitters, blasters, and material handling personnel.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Oversee fabrication activities involving ASME pressure vessels and related components.
• Manage department supplies, consumables, labor tracking, and employee timekeeping.
• Monitor production costs, labor allocation, and departmental performance.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital equipment needs.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records and reporting through manufacturing software.
