Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Senior Welding/Mechanical Engineer to lead welding program efforts, provide consulting on welding design and inspection, and support nuclear and hydro generation projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; 5+ years related experience.
• Experience with welding procedures, welder qualifications and welding programs.
• Familiarity with ASME sections and NDE methods essential.

Responsibilities

• Support PG&E welding programs for Diablo Canyon nuclear facility and hydro/fossil assets.
• Develop and qualify welding procedures and perform repair development.
• Provide welding and mechanical design consulting to internal and external clients.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for field projects and new business.
• Coordinate multiple projects, manage schedules and budgets.
