Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority across projects. You will lead welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and inspectors, and review procedures and qualifications while representing the company to engineers and building officials.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership, with extensive knowledge of welding codes and NDT. Travel to project sites and audits are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Strong command of welding codes and standards (D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104).
• Experience writing welding quality programs and supervising inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Weld Inspectors; review reports and calibrate calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; qualify NDT subcontractors.
