Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects, reviewing and approving quality programs, supervising CWIs and inspectors, and coordinating with engineers, owners, and officials on welding matters.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with extensive leadership, and deep knowledge of welding codes, procedures, and QA/QC processes. Travel to job sites and audits are expected as part of the position.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Proven ability to supervise CWIs and Inspectors across projects.
• Strong command of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors; review reports and calibrate calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; witness procedure qualification testing.
