Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality on projects nationwide. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and inspectors, and approve weld procedures and qualifications.

You will audit fabricators, resolve complex indications with engineers, and represent the company to owners and officials. AWS SCWI is preferred; a CWI with 8+ years of leadership is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Certification in welding inspection with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes AWS D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects; review their reports and calibrate their calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; qualify NDT subcontractors.
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing; Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages.
• Resolve disputed indications with engineers of record; represent the company in welding quality reviews.
