Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority across projects. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors, and approve procedure and welder qualifications.

You will audit fabricators, resolve disputed indications, and represent the company to engineers of record and building officials on welding matters. AWS SCWI is preferred; a CWI with eight+ years of leadership is considered.

Qualifications

• Requires AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection experience including supervision of other inspectors.
• Strong command of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• NDT Level II or III in at least one method preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review their reports.
• Audit fabricators and erectors weld quality systems and qualify NDT subcontractors.
• Resolve disputed indications and repairs with engineers of record.
