Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority across projects. You will write, review, and approve welding quality plans, procedures, and NDT procedures while supervising CWIs and inspectors.

You will audit fabricators, resolve disputed indications with engineers, and represent the company to engineers of record, owners, and officials on welding matters. A SCWI is preferred; a CWI with 8+ years of leadership is acceptable.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership experience.
• Strong command of AWS D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• NDT Level II or III in at least one method preferred; experience writing quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors; review reports and calibrate decisions.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; witnessprocedure qualification tests.
