Job summary

ECS Limited invites a Certified Welding Inspector (Specialty Technician) to join our Richmond team. You will perform field observations, inspections, and testing on diverse construction materials, including steel, soils, concrete, and aggregates, with potential NDT support.

Collaboration with senior staff and project managers ensures compliance with industry standards. You should have 2+ years of experience, be capable of lifting loads up to 85 lbs, hold a high school diploma, and maintain valid

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must obtain 2 relevant specialty certifications from NRC, NICET, WACEL, ACI, IFC, AWS, ASNT, ASTM or similar authorities.
• Must be able to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times daily and up to 85 lbs to waist height.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance, and provide transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steel placement.
• Inspect structural and reinforcing steel, welded or bolted connections using industry-standard methods.
• Collect data, perform calculations and reduce data from tests and inspections; assist with drafting and administrative tasks.
