Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a manufacturing engineer to own chassis fabrication and the processes turning steel into module frames. You will develop routings, work instructions, fixtures, and cycle times for weld-heavy fabrication, and lead lines and revisions with PFMEAs and ramp curves.

You will drive yield and cost through data-driven improvements weekly. The role emphasizes ownership, fast pace, and practical instruction writing, with a focus on reducing cycle times and deploying new fabrication

Qualifications

• The candidate should have manufacturing engineering experience in heavy fabrication or weldment environments.
• Experience launching fabrication lines or major process changes to improve rate.
• Ability to write work instructions that operators actually use.
• Experience running PFMEAs to predict real failures.
• Credential with fixture design or takt-based production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing engineering for chassis fabrication and the processes turning steel into module frames.
• Develop the process plans: routings, work instructions, fixtures, and cycle times for weld-heavy fabrication.
• Launch new lines and product revisions: PFMEAs, capability runs, and ramp curves you own.
• Drive yield and cost: scrap, rework, and cycle time reduction using weekly data.
